We have several fun activities for our various teams. We have had amazing trips to places like Las Vegas, Singapore and Hong Kong and in fact I went on a 4- day trip to Goa with my team. 150 Magmaites also had the once in a lifetime opportunity of watching India win the Cricket World Cup at Wankhede stadium Mumbai! Simply put, Magma-ites like to work hard and party harder.
I would say, at Magma the one quality that sets us apart from other organisations, is our hunger to succeed. There is never a dull moment at Magma, because we don’t let the economic environment decide our growth…we’re constantly looking to set benchmarks and this keeps us going. You can make out a Magma salesperson from any other by their ‘just do it’ attitude.
Life at Magma provides many learning opportunities because the organization promotes functional and geographical job rotation as part of its Career Development program. In fact I have been handling various functions and geographies gives a much better grasp of our business model and hence makes it easier to lead successfully.
Life at Magma is entrepreneurial. We are constantly expanding into new geographies and starting new product lines. This poses huge learning and growth opportunities for the employees. I had the opportunity to analyze a couple of businesses that we moved into, and the work culture at Magma makes me feel quite empowered.
Life at Magma is caring. I get a huge high when telling people what my company does, because simply put “we invest in dreams”. In addition to furthering financial inclusion, we extend our support to the underprivileged through a host of CSR activities. We annually contribute to the Akshaya Patra Foundation and have partnered with Friends of the Tribal Society to provide education to young tribal children. We host several health and eye-checkup camps in villages and transport-nagars across the country. We are also passionate about the cause of the Green Environment, and plant saplings on World Environment Day.
